This award is to celebrate and acknowledge Leslie Reid’s contribution to dressage in BC and her legacy of excellence. This award celebrates excellence in BC riders competing at PSG and above.
The Commemorative Painting Sponsored by Vanessa Whittell to be hung permanently on display in the High Point Clubhouse. Award recipient receives award title and bronze name plaque on Vanessa Whittell painting.
Award Criteria:
Must be a DBC member and current BC resident.
Top 3 scores from Small Tour and above from 3 BC Gold shows (one score per show).
Scores submitted can be single judge score or panel score, submit complete panel score.
Submit scores for the award through online form on DBC website and closes October 15, 2022. Winner to be announced and award presented at DBC AGM.

Two Carnarvon Fram Grants are intended to assist Dressage BC members - Adult Amateurs in pursuit of dressage education. Any Adult Amateur competing in the past year between Training and Third Level may apply. The rider must use the Grant to attend a Clinic. Please submit all information required into the written submission section of the application form.
The Developing FEI Rider grant is for a Dressage BC member competing at 4th Level or higher within the past year. Preference will be given to the rider using the grant for equestrian education at a Provincial or National Symposium. Please submit all information required into the written submission section of the application form.

PURPOSE
The purpose of Dressage BC's Coaching Awards is as follows:
• to recognize the contributions of dressage coaches at all levels of dressage
• to create motivation by ensuring that successful coaches are recognized
• to attract attention to Excellence in Coaching
CRITERIA
Coaches are eligible for the awards by fulfilling one of the following criteria:
The Coach & Nominator are current member of Dressage BC
The coach of record at the time coaches an athlete on a Provincial or National team
The Coach demonstrates excellence in coaching by a significant and substantial contribution to the development of the dressage performance of individuals and/or the advancement of coaching
Examples:
Coach of one or more successful riders
Coach of several successful children, youth, young riders or adult amateurs
Coach who has developed a focussed program (children, youth, adult amateur, Para Equestrian, FEI etc.)
Coach who has developed other coaches (through education, training and/or mentoring)
AWARDS: The winning Coaches will receive a beautiful jacket compliments of Asmar Equestrian with custom embroidery of the Dressage BC logo

PRESENTATION: The Coaching Award will be presented at the AGM. Awards must be picked up or can be mailed at the cost of recipient.

Liz and Leanne Peniuk of Stone Hill Farm have partnered with Karen Robinson of Applause Dressage to co-sponsor this grant in honour of the spirit of Sietske and to celebrate the aspect of dressage that she loved so much and shared with so many.
Open to members: Amateurs, Juniors, Professionals or Young Riders from First Level to Grand Prix, the criteria is as follows:
1) Scores for a single horse/rider combination earned from two different EC Gold competitions scored by at least two different judges, during 2020 with one of the two scores to be over 65% from the highest test of the level (eg. Test #3)
2) a reference from at least one EC certified coach providing details of the applicant's efforts and development.
3) a description, up to 500 words, explaining how the grant can best assist the applicant to achieve their goals.
**this grant will pay for a full Applause Dressage Freestyle including music selection, choreography and editing up to fourth level/FEI Jr (max $1275 value). For higher levels, the recipient will be responsible for the amount owing above the stated value.**
